I am a self-published author who just got through writing a collection of some of my favorite poems (30 poems in 3 days), also I am maintaining to follow the footsteps of the worlds very own Antowne Fisher (Finding Fish), Chris Gardner (Pursuit Of Happyness) and Tyler Perry (I to have thoughts and ideas to start a stage play). Extra note: I have lots of poems, I admit that I have a collection deep enough to do another book.
I do though have published a few brouchures: One is called Norfolk Offered Hope, another is called Poems of Faith, Hope, and The Journeys Of Life. I do want to rename the last one though to maybe Poems of Faith, Hope and The Journey of Life Along My Poem To Tupac Shakur. There is a few poems that I dedicated to Tupac in this one. Soon I will be post'n some up for, again for all my viewers. And one more time I thank you all!!! Listen a tear is flowind down pass your ear / Smile!!!
Listen a tear is flowing down past your ear
Don't you feel it or even hear it
Pay attention quite listen
It may have something to say
Because one day my tear ask me
If it could borrow my sorrow
I know it sounds crazy
But because of this tear flowed
It changes the momentum
Of your whole day
So next time a tear flows down
Listen to what it has to say
Before it pass away slowly sliding
Down your cheek
It attempts to reach you ear to speak
It may just want to play
Quick grab it before it goes by
By all means listen a tear is flowing down to
Bring you a message from your eye!!! (nobody wants to cry)
Don't cry when you can…

Smile
Even if it's been a while I know you can flash
Just a simple smile
Imagine a world where dreams come true
I know this makes me smile
Imagine everything you love to do became capable for you
I know this makes me smile
Imagine the ability to look pass humility
This is what works for me
And although it's been a while
I can always flash just a simple smile!!!
If it's been a while I always remind myself to smile, I remind myself that life really is precious.

Pursuit Of A Passion (about my book)!!!
Hello,My name is Colby Glenn Finkley and I am attempting to follow the footsteps of Tyler Perry, Chris Gardner, Antwone Fisher, etc. I am also Pursuing Happiness and I would like for you to read a brief of my summary from my book Pursuit Of A Passion. Here it goes:

Summary:
I been thinking about what in my life I want to talk about, what thoughts I would like to share with the world. Well here's another summary about my life and what I believe in:
In my life there has been lots of drama, to help I try to compare with peoples I believe I relate to. My family I compare to the Jacksons; you know Janet, Micheal….etc. Recently I have been trying to focus in on movies like Antwon Fisher (we both been to the military), and other movies such as Pursuit of Happyness, and Freedom Writers. I figure that these could help me thru this as I maintain to follow my dream as well as stay strong. I believe in things like the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. I have faith in God and believe that one day this world really would change. I've given myself lots of positive role models, heroes, and inspirations. I also believe that one day in pursuit of my passion, I Colby Glenn will convert back, my redemption will shine and at the same time for a young black male in this world justice will prevail. As I keep looking for that opportunity to one day make it all happen my dreams will come true.With writing it has freed my mind and has really focused me up to this world. It's been a break from adversity, distress, and my glance at a chance to escape poverty. It feels a lot better just writing about it and to have a dream at the same time I feel like I can one day begin a legacy a legacy of great purposes as I today decide to strive to live up to all my potentials.One thing about the ghetto it's where I will be coming from, I feel it's necessary to speak about a change. So than if things ever change for me than why not give encouragement so that the whole world could one day be that better place? Like I've already mentioned yes I do believe and support the dream that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. has once cast. As well I believe that I can achieve all that I would like to accomplish. This is a book about my life, my story, my journey along with all my thoughts and beliefs. This is a guy, myself I Colby Glenn who is a believer, a believer that dreams come true!!!

If any one was to ask me for the reason I got my book self-published; I would tell them:
The reason is because I was playing it safe...This is the first time I've done anything like this. Today I am a first time author by getting my books self-published. I feel like I am playing it real safe this way. I am able to keep my copyrighted materials in my hand. Rather than rushing into the business of writing and publishing by sending my stuff off while not knowing - I perfered it this way because now I feel extra safe and now I am able to submit to magizines, newspapers, and of course some of these publishing companies but not only that I can walk around and sell any of my products. Today I am the author of 30 poems in 3 days and the 7 chapters of Pursuit Of A Passion since that I have included it to my first book (30 poems in 3 days), and one day Pursuit Of A Passion will be it's own book.
I feel real good and safe at the same time about being the author of these books right now. I'm doing alot of crawling before walking, but I am getting it done slowly for surely and it is all very much worth it, and this will be what my final chapter is going to be about me getting all of this done, and getting in the process of submitting from walking around doing it all on my own.

All Because I Hear That It Is Not Good To Quit
I've been a hard worker part of my middle school
And all of my high school years,
I wanted what others had
-not the material things-
-but emotionally-
I wanted not to shed any more tears,
A few years after graduating I joined the military
A place with more rage,
At the time this wasn't for me
So it was time to flip the page,
I have been down with no one around,
But this never bothered me not one bit,
I kept my head up,
All because I hear that
It is not good to quit!!
Atwon Fisher didn't, Chris Garner didn't, neither did
Tyler Perry
Than why should I
Not dedicate this one you all
For I rely
On your stories so that I won't fall!!!

The Unpredictable Journeys Of Life
The more you grow, The more you will know
Life will remain unpredictable,
Even when you believed that you have reach your destination
Something could scorn your imagination,
Who would ever think that in this world to where we are born,
That I Colby the writer of this poem,
Would one day ask for millions of people
To open up there heart to a soul survivor,
Who would ever think that I would reach for the stars
And keep reaching higher,
For someone who had to be brought back to life (true story),
This could be a major sacrifice,
Plus to already be living a dramacidial life,
As the journey goes on to learn of siblings,
In fact as you think back,
Someone to whom you've saw b4
And have already
Learned to love (just like a sister),
And now because of tragic
You can no longer see them anymore,
Nobody knows what happens
As life goes on,
So true so so unpredictable,
That's one fact that will always be so true about life,
And people as well,
I'm still dreaming of success
While gaining support and opportunity,
While at the same time under stress,
Until you open up your heart,
Someone could stay torn apart,
Again so true about life and people as well,
Until someone listen
No one can hear the story another can tell!!!

With all my mind, heart, body, and soul
I will live up to my potentials accomplishing Goal after goal!!!

The 'Lil' Bird Told Me 'TRUST' Norfolk Offered Hope
"Every place in this world you go you'll here stories about it...
'Good and Bad,'
You just have to keep faith, take the advice the people give,
and still be willing to grow,
Because for me Norfolk Offered Hope,
I won't lie
This is the reason I fly SO HIGH,
Keep Faith, still pray, keep dreaming
Keep believing and achieving,
It's more to where it comes from
Trust me...."
This is what the 'lil' bird on the tree
Branch told me from a distant,
So I offered my finger to prove
That we could trust one another,
And he flew right on over and landed,
So now as for both of us
Norfolk Offered Hope!!!

JUNE 7, 2007 DAY ONE
You can't destroy something that can be restored
What a defacer to ruin
Who concentrates to have one with no fate
That one would anticipate
Try to regulate
Capture all faith
Although it's always able to be
Resurrected, recollected, resuscitated
Just like a cycle round and round up and down
Lost and then found
No one can be of such restraint
Restrict you from the only thing
You are taught to hold on to
Something that brought the idea
To keep a head held high
The one thing no one can lie upon
Even as they hope on
It's still such a thing as dignity
The remedy that able
The rebirth of the one thing
No one can destroy because PRIDE
Is something you'll always be able to restore!!!
